Every year, our Grade 7’s head to Maria Island as part of the Outdoor Education Programme. Their recent trip coincided with creative adventurer, Oren Gerassi, who captured the children singing while waiting for the ferry. Oren was there hoping to capture a sound recording of the echo in the old silos by the jetty as the wombats munched happily around him, but instead, he happened upon the group. Initially frustrated that he could not record the sounds of nature, he found something even more magical.
