Early Learning

Early Learning is a partnership between your family and our School. Highly qualified and experienced teachers guide the development of students within our specialised International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP).

Discover Grammar Early Learning

Want to learn more about Early Learning at Launceston Grammar? We encourage interested families to visit our Junior Campus, meet Sheona Carter, our Head of Campus, and learn more about the unique and broad opportunities we offer students.

During your Discovery visit, you will hear more about our School’s vision for our students, tour our classrooms and facilities, meet students and staff, and ask questions.

Our teachers adopt evidence informed practice as they deliver engaging, inclusive and interactive, concept-based learning. Through play, early numeracy and literacy skills are the focus, as well as learning about the world around us. Our students ‘learn how to learn’ through inquiry-based activities designed to promote questioning, problem-solving and independent thinking.

At Launceston Grammar your child will be nurtured within a safe and caring environment. We cater for their educational, physical, social, emotional and cultural needs. We encourage students to develop a love of learning and a desire to be active and caring members of the School community and community at large.

Securing a place for your child at our Early Learning Centre provides a guaranteed pathway to our Junior Campus.
