Learning Technologies

We believe that great technology has the capacity to amplify great learning and are committed to equipping staff and students for this.

A rich variety of learning technologies are available to our Junior Campus students with access to over 250 devices including iPads, notebook computers, BeebBots, Sphero Robots and VR Headsets.

Our Grade 5 and 6 students participate in a school-funded Full Classroom Set programme where students are allocated their own laptop which remains in their classrooms.

Grade 7 and 8 students also participate in a school-funded 1:1 laptop programme, this device stays with the students and can be used at school and at home.

In Grade 9 and 10 students participate in a parent co-contribution funded 1:1 laptop programme. Ownership of this device is transferred to the family at the completion of Grade 10. All of the devices throughout these year groups are fully managed and supported by the School’s IT Services team.

Grade 11 and 12 students can continue using their Grade 9 device or they can opt into our Bring Your Own Technology programme where they supply a suitable device of their choosing. The IT Services team can only provide limited support in regard to this programme.

In addition to Senior Campus students utilising technology in class through the varied use of laptops and a range of software, there are opportunities through the curriculum and electives to access robotics and drones, engage in programming and data collection, and network and communicate with learners around the globe.
