Early Learning (3-5 yo)

Early Learning

At Launceston Grammar, we consider it a privilege to nurture, challenge and inspire every child in our care. We believe that each child is curious, capable, and unique. The rights and best interests of the child underpin everything that we do.

As passionate educators, the Early Learning Team are dedicated to best practice and quality outcomes for all children; diversity is acknowledged and respected. Our families play a pivotal role as valued partners, collaborators, and advocates for their children. Open and ongoing communication between home and school is fostered.

As an accredited International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) inform our practice. Children's connectedness to the natural world and a sense of joy is fostered through play, inquiry, imagination, and creative exploration.

We provide a safe and inclusive environment that values voice, choice, and ownership. Learning is a holistic experience that integrates social-emotional, physical, and cognitive skills that promote wellbeing. We encourage curiosity, exploration, creativity and fun to nurture well-rounded individuals.

Having engaged in rich learning opportunities in the early years, we believe children will become resilient, confident, responsible, and compassionate citizens of our beautiful world.
