Extra-curricular

Learning Outside the Classroom

Both our Junior and Senior Campuses offer a rich and varied co-curricular program, providing many opportunities to inspire and extend interests and passions and develop essential leadership and service attributes.

Through co-curricular activities, your child will pursue knowledge, develop new skills and expand on existing skills. The variety on offer will allow them to push themselves out of their comfort zone and creatively solve problems. The program also provides an avenue for students to showcase their talents to others with a wide range of performance opportunities.

On the Junior Campus, your child will be able to take part in our Little Extras program, which will introduce them to activities such as Chess and Taekwondo, while the Junior Music Department provides opportunities to join choirs and perform at soirees.

At the Senior Campus, The Duke of Edinburgh Award, debating and public speaking, music, creative and performing arts programs, as well as a range of team and individual sport opportunities are available. The School also runs a comprehensive community service programs with many students helping others within the local community outside of school hours.

As a student at Launceston Grammar, your child will be expected to participate in an area of the co-curricular program or may choose more than one area in which to participate. See below for more information regarding our sporting and performing arts programs.
