On what basis are places offered at Launceston Grammar?

Applications are processed in the order they are received, with places allocated to siblings of current students, boarders and children of alumni first. As demand for places is high, we encourage you to register your interest well in advance of your child’s expected entry year. Offers are usually made in the year prior to commencement.

How do I enrol my child at Launceston Grammar?

An Application for Enrolment should be submitted to the Enrolment’s office along with copies of your child’s birth certificate or passport (and Visa Grant Notice if applicable).

Do I have to complete a separate Enrolment Application Form for each child?

Yes, a separate Online Application for Enrolment must be submitted for each child.

Will my child have to take an entrance exam to secure a place at Launceston Grammar?

No, they will not. International Students must submit their AEAS Test Report with their application.

If, after our initial application, we change our preferred year of entry, does this mean we will go to the bottom of the waiting list?

No, we will continue to use your initial application date.

How many students are in the school?

We have nearly 900 students, consisting of approximately 600 at our Senior Campus and 300 at our Junior Campus.

Can I look around the school?
