UNICEF Australia Response

Paul Scambler – Examiner Newspaper

The Butterfly Effect Art Auction was a fundraising initiative organised by our Art Department and led by our Head of Visual Art and Design, Paul Snell. The team coordinated artwork donated by over 100 artists across Tasmania, Australia and internationally as our community came together to raise an incredible amount for those in need. We would like to share this response from UNICEF Australia.

On behalf of the entire UNICEF Australia team, we want to say thank you to the students, staff, and community for supporting the Launceston Church Grammar School’s recent art auction. The $72,000 raised through the auction is going to have an incredible impact on the lives of so many children and their families in Ukraine. We truly can’t thank you enough – Tony Stuart, CEO of UNICEF AustraliaSupport from the community plays a critical role in UNICEF’s ability to support children during a crisis and I’m very proud to say that the Launceston Church Grammar School’s art auction has been the highest-raising community fundraising event to support children in Ukraine. We hope that everyone involved feels an incredible sense of pride for what they’ve achieved. Because of your support, will be able to reach even more vulnerable children and their families – Jenny Trigg, Community Fundraising Specialist, UNICEF Australia.
