National Boarding Week 16-22 May 

Our Boarding students will be celebrating National Boarding Week. all week They will be enjoying a host of extra activities throughout the week such as a dinner with Scotch Oakburn College boarders and a staff vs students netball game.

Parent Grade Representative meeting – Thursday 19 May

Our Parent Grade Representatives will be meeting this Thursday with our Community Engagement Team. The School’s Parent Grade Representatives serve a primary role in maintaining communication between parents, while also being a valuable resource to the teacher and the grade. The Parent Grade Representatives also facilitate the social interaction among families in the school community. Head to the webpage to check who your Parent Grade Representative is.

World Bee Day – Friday 20 May 

This Friday we will be celebrating World Bee Day on Friday 20 May. Staff and students are encouraged to wear a splash of yellow on Friday. Buzzington the bee is our school mascot and when you take a closer look at our crest, you will see two bees. They symbolise the school as a hive of activity, something that is as true today as it was in 1846.

Australian Musical Theatre Festival 18-22 May 

Our TCE Contemporary Music Class will be attending “Acting in Self Tapes”  as part of the Australian Musical Theatre Festival which will be held in Launceston. There are a host of events and workshops that many of our students would enjoy, check out the full programme here.
