Dane is Rector of Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Launceston, and Archdeacon for the Northern Ministry District, Diocese of Tasmania. Having previously served on the Council of Trinity Grammar School in Sydney (1994-2017) and as Chairman of Rouse Hill Anglican College Council (2000-2007), Dane is also a member of the Anglican Church of Australia’s Liturgy Commission and a Board member of Broughton Publishing. Prior to ordination, Dane worked briefly as a Teacher (Mathematics).

Appointed to the Board in 2018 by the Bishop of Tasmania and member of the Finance Committee.
