Artwork Reflects Upon 2020

As part of the 2021 Ten Days on the Island festival program, our Poimena Gallery features Orbit, an exhibition curated by the School’s Head of Visual Art, Paul Snell. The exhibition, which features 43 artists from Australia and overseas reflects upon the disruption of 2020.

“In a time of social, political and emotional disruption Orbit will invite the viewer to slow down, take stock and breathe,” says Paul.

“The work in this exhibition is intended to place the viewer in a space that is just out of reach.

“Orbit will provide an escape from the daily narrative offering a ‘gravitational pull’ to other thoughts, processes, and ideas.”

Open to the public, the exhibition will feature at the Poimena Gallery until Tuesday 6 May on school days from 9 am to 4 pm.
