Annual Giving
Each year parents, old boys and old girls of Broadland and Grammar, staff and friends support Grammar through their gifts to the Annual Giving Programme. These gifts allow the School to direct funds to developments that might otherwise not receive funding. We are grateful for the continued support of the Grammar community. It is this high level of participation, through gifts of every size, which is the key to our success. All gifts whether large or small bring us closer to achieving our goal of providing outstanding facilities for our Junior and Senior campuses. Every dollar of your gift will be directed toward the project you choose.
“Launceston Church Grammar School has been a part of the Fairthorne Family since the 1890’s when my father Frederick Senior, and my uncles Gordon and Landon Fairthorne, attended the School in Elizabeth Street. I started at Grammar in 1930 and have witnessed and supported many of Grammar’s developments over the years. Through the generosity of past scholars, parents, staff and friends the Grammar community is the School’s strength. My passion for Grammar stems from the School’s ability to instil a rich set of values in its students while maintaining it’s pre-eminence in education. The School delivers great students, imbued with patriotism, who contribute to the community. The annual giving programme is important to the School’s continued development. I urge you to support the programme this year as so many have done in the past.”Photograph

2009 Projects
SMART Boards and Data Projectors
Students benefit from technology enhanced learning. Classroom SMART Boards and data projectors transform computers into powerful interactive teaching tools and provide classroom teachers, in bother Junior and Senior School, with advanced instruction facilities. Using a single computer attached to the SMART Board, teachers access a wide range of internet and intranet sites and give students opportunities for active learning.
Making the Boarding House Home
Boarders continue to be a key presence in the School with over 60 students currently residing in the Boarding House. Grammar’s boarders already benefit from a structured routine, academic support and pastoral care. The School recognises that it is also important to ensure these students are provided with a homely area in which they can spend their personal time. By modernising the communal and recreational spaces within boarding it will be possible to provide our students with a cheerful and happy place for them to relax in. Heating and Cooling at Broadland
The Broadland campus is our centre for junior learning. As many of you would know, some school classrooms can be hot in summer and cold in winter. Installing reverse cycle air conditioning units and blinds into these rooms will provide both cooling and energy efficient heating which will give our students and teachers the best possible environment for teaching and learning.Scholarship Fund
The Foundation Scholarship Fund supports the enrolment of boys and girls whose financial circumstances would normally prevent them from attending Grammar. By contributing to the fund, you will help to build funds to support current and future students and to give these students an opportunity they would not have otherwise had. Donations to this Fund* are vital to allow the School to maintain and strengthen its tradition of offering opportunities to students to attend Grammar.(* Donations are not tax deductible)
Headmaster’s Discretion
Gifts allocated to Headmaster's Discretion will fund areas of highest institutional need. (Tax deductible)
