The Old Launcestonians' Association
The committee known as the Old Launcestonian Association is formed primarily by old scholars of the school and the Headmaster of the Launceston Church Grammar School. This committee is charged with the responsibility of representing the school's family including past, present and future students. It is also entrusted with upholding the integrity, values and history of the school and to maintain those areas to the highest possible degree.
The Old Launcestonian Association facilitates the opportunity for past students to reconnect with the school and with peer groups through the planning of reunion functions, by providing a port of call to a range of age-groups through its representative members and through the general public promotions of the Launceston Church Grammar School. The committee also seeks to nominate members within the Grammar community for School Board representation as
required.
The Old Launcestonian Association aims to provide a Scholarship programme to assist eligible families of the school to educate their children at the school. This scholarship opportunity is known as the Old Launcestonian Scholarship.
The Old Launcestonian Association is not a major fund raising body but it aims to raise funds for the maintenance of projects to the benefit of the school community past, present and future.
This Association aims to commit to the Food Fest held at the Junior School Campus as its major event. This is to enable funds to be raised in conjunction with providing a social opportunity to welcome new and old families and friends to the school at the beginning of each year.
